World Congress
The World Council members normally meet every three years for a World Congress in which scholars, researchers and administrators interact with counterparts from around the globe on international issues concerning education.

There is a pervasive sense that knowledge and education will define the future of humanity, countries and peoples.
The XV World Congress of the WCCES, to be held in Buenos Aires 24-28 June 2013, has been conceptualized under the theme of New Times, New Voices—across world regions, languages and cultures. The 12 Thematic Groups will cover such concepts as:
- new theoretical and methodological voices in comparative education,
- voices from Latin America and the “South”,
- new perspectives on the state, the global and the local,
- voices from the grassroots, gendered voices, minorities,
- voices from the school community, and the adult learning community,
- academic voices, public policy, internationalization,
- new times for curriculum, public education, democratization,
- voices and language policy,
- voices from the new media, and
- voices from countries in conflict or fragility.
The organizers of the 15th World Congress of WCCES are delighted to be hosting a plethora of exciting conversations with key scholars, teachers, educators, activists, and consultants from every corner of our world.
