Teachers College, Columbia University welcomes the 52nd Annual Meeting of the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES). CIES was founded in 1956 to foster cross-cultural understanding, scholarship, academic achievement, and societal development through the international study of educational ideas, systems, and practices.
This year's conference will be devoted to 'Gaining Educational Equity Around the World'. The Meetings will place special emphasis on the theme of educational equity within and among regions and countries, focusing on the impact of factors such as gender, race, ethnicity, income, wealth, disability, and urbanization.
